Quilts of Valor Finishes - including our latest QOV Mystery! w/Updates

It's done, it's Done, IT'S DONE!  Our latest Quilt of Valor Mystery quilt is ALL finished and ready to be quilted:

A3/Field of Stars - our latest Quilt of Valor Mystery ALL finished - ready for quilting!
Here's a quick photo while attaching the Red/White/Blue exterior borders - one of the reasons it took a little longer to finish, since I changed out the borders umpteen times!:

A couple of other recent QOV finishes - the first Quilt of Valor is inspired by one of WW II Veteran, Mr. Alfred Lind's patriotic strip QOVs:

The second was a TEAM effort - our Doris created the central part of this QOV quilt top and one of our East Central IL QOV Volunteers traded in the Marine border fabric, yours truly fussy cut and attached.  Turned out pretty neat, we think:

Don't you LOVE these Marine border fabrics?!
It will be a real joy to award our Marine Quilt of Valor to a very special area Marine!

UPDATE:  almost forgot about this finish, and one of my QOV favs:

Another Doris Original - looking forward to quilting this one!

We leave you with one of our very favorite videos featuring an amazing WW II Veteran, and my own personal inspiration for becoming involved with the Quilts of Valor Foundation in 2010...WW II Veteran, Mr. Al Lind - sharing in his own frank words what Quilts of Valor means to him and how he personally Thanks our Vets:
