QOV Stars A Waving finished just in time for QOV Mystery #2!

Whew!  Finished this stunning Stars A Waving  Quilt of Valor Mystery top - pattern design created and generously shared by one of our very talented QOV Volunteers, Alycia, just in time for her second Quilt of Valor Mystery to launch:

Stars A Waving Quilt of Valor
This Stars A Waving Quilt of Valor will start getting quilted on Super Bowl 2016 Sunday (at least those are the optimistic plans IF I can stop coughing & sneezing!), but first, time to get ready for Alycia's second QOV Mystery.

Fabrics chosen, gathered and ready to cut:

And, since QOV National Sew Day is TOMORROW, had to get ready for that, too!

QOV Quilt tops and border fabrics ready for assembly

It doesn't look like it but, this box can hold 300+ pounds and it is sooo full I cannot close the lid! There are tweny (20) Quilts of Valor quilt tops in this box ready for borders.

Can you guess who many of them belong to?  You guessed it - our Doris!  Yes, FINALLY in the New Year, many if not ALL of Doris's QOVs will get bordered out and quilted...yippee!!  Pics to follow as they are bordered and ultimately quilted, bound and labeled.

More than one of Doris's completed Quilts of Valor will be included in our East Central IL Quilts of Valor Veteran's Tribute quilt show over the 2016 Veteran's Day Celebration later this year...Hope to see you ALL there!

And so I don't get bored ;-), been piecing one of our 2016 fundraiser's quilt blocks, our Allietare Mystery - I'm up to 25 blocks and counting of the Gold Star Blocks!
