Quilt of Valor makes muster in time for Veteran's Day

The Mission of the Quilts of Valor® Foundation:  "To cover Service Members and Veterans touched by war, with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor®".

A Quilt of Valor is such a special quilt.  It is the highest award a United States citizen may award a Service Member or Veteran whose been touched by war.  As such, the Standards of Excellence for creating such a special quilt are stringent, yet achievable by those special quilt makers who volunteer countless hours to create each and every Quilt of Valor.  Many of these special QOVs will be awarded during our upcoming Veteran's Day celebration.

Each Quilt of Valor requires a special QOV quilt label.  We embellish our Quilt of Valor labels with different embroideries prior to attaching:

We also enjoy creating our own East Central IL QOV badge, which we also embroider:

A QOV Presentation case is required for those Quilts of Valor that will be awarded long distance, as this particular one will be:

After ALL the countless hours of our Volunteers, everything comes together, including the Quilts of Valor Award document and the personal letter to the QOV Award recipient that accompanies each of our East Central IL Quilts of Valor:

This Quilt of Valor is all ready to ship to another QOV Volunteer who will award this very special quilt to an even more special IRAQ Veteran.

On behalf of our East Central IL QOV Volunteers, we wish to Thank ALL our Service Members and Veterans for their sacrifice and service for our country.
