Veterans getting 'covered' by one of our very own...Thank YOU, Leslie!

One of our Valued East Central IL QOVF Volunteer Members, Leslie White has been one busy lady! She has created AND awarded 4+ Quilts of Valor over the last twelve months.  Her recent Quilt of Valor Award Presentation to Veteran, George Donley:

A QOV I'm sure most of you recognize, that maintains a prominent position on our blog
This stunning Quilt of Valor was created by Leslie, especially to honor her Dad, Dave White - a WW II Army Air Force Veteran, along w/his brother, Leslie's Uncle Jim.  This now very famous photo of the two of them:

  1. I would like to give quilting credit where it is due to my quilting friends, Joe and Bunny Filer of Mahomet. They encouraged me to get involved with QOV and continue to support me in my endeavors. These quilts as well as several others which have gone to other destinations were quilted by Joe and Bunny has provided inspiration and countless helpful hints. I could not do this without them!
    Thanks, Leslie

    1. Thanks for adding the quilting information, Leslie. I knew you had mentioned that Joe and Bunny had quilted 'some' of your quilts, just didn't know IF they had quilted them all or not and therefore, didn't want to way one way or the other, since I wasn't sure ;-)

They indeed do beautiful quilting work and I'm so glad that have been there for you to help and inspire...it shows!

Thanks again for ALL you do to honor our Service Members and Veterans through your beautiful Quilts of Valor.
