November Sew-IN was Busy, BUSY!

Thank You ALL for your amazing talents and generosity!  WOW!  What a fantastic East Central IL Quilts of Valor Group we have - you folks NEVER cease to amaze yours truly!!  And you've kept me busier than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs today, just now had a few to get yesterday's minutes posted!!!

First - they brought their finished QOV quilt tops:

Here's THREE QOV quilt tops ready for borders ALL done by Doris
And another one by 'P':

You may remember 'P' posted her Finish on our Group's Facebook page earlier
What a gorgeous QOV and even prettier Smile!
That's FOUR total QOV quilt tops completed!  We've already cut the borders for this one (above) - can hardly wait to get those added, provides LOTS of quilting real estate for yours truly ;-)

And look-ey who showed up w/tons and TONS of freshly cut quilt strips for our future QOVs:

Julia - our Fastest Cutter in the East, bar NONE!  Thank YOU, Julia!!
These fabric strips were donated by Cartha G - can hardly wait to show her our finished Quilts of Valor w/her fabric!

And don't these two look maaah-velous holding up a recently donated Quilt of Valor by Cindy G. from CT who answered our QOV distress call:

'P' and Jackie w/Cindy's stunning Quilt of Valor!
This gorgeous Quilt of Valor is scheduled to be awarded to one of our WW II Honor Flight Veterans on Wednesday, November 19, 2014...Thank YOU, Cindy G!

UPDATE 11/20/2014:  Cindy's QOV awarded to Mr. Richard - WW II Veteran who was a recent participant on the 300th Honor Flight out of Indianapolis, IN.

WW II Veteran awarded his Quilt of Valor w/wife
and East Central IL QOV Volunteer Member, Jackie W.

Jackie W. also brought in ALL kinds of Patriotic Stripe Sig blocks that were immediately sent home w/Sue to put into another beautiful QOV.  The turn-around time was so short, we didn't have a chance to take a pic.

And Sue's been busy, not only creating an amazing QOV that she awarded on Veteran's Day:

Sue's QOV awarded to WW II Veteran, Mr. Dale

And just today Sue awarded a Quilt of Valor yours truly had the privilege to create:

WW II Veteran, Mr. Ralph w/family and his awarded Quilt of Valor
And we and Quilts of Valor made it on the FRONT page of our little local newspaper - Above The Fold, NO less!

A very special Quilt of Valor for a Super-Special WW II Veteran
And a Quilt of Valor FINISH for one of our Value QOVF Volunteer Members - turned out wonderful, don't you agree?

Beautiful finish on one of our QOVF Volunteer Members Quilt of Valor
I will be updating this post w/blog posting regarding the quilting of this Quilt of Valor on our sister blog:  Quilts 'N Things Done By Betty Boop w/Deb...
