#This Is 4-H

Our most recent invitation to display our 4-H Quilts of Valor was a huge honor and ultimately EVERYONE who came to the Clark County 4-H Dress Revue appeared to enjoy the entire event - since most stayed 'til the very end, in spite of a sweltering MidWest heat wave Tuesday evening.  Our community's support of our hard working youth was greatly appreciated!

LOTS of awards were received by several talented youth and our 4-H QOVers were also recognized for their accomplishments and community service:

Jade listening intently w/her QOV
And our very special Tiffany with her Remembrance Quilt in honor of her 'Grandpa Joe', a recently fallen Viet Nam Veteran:

This was Tiffany's very first quilt to create and I think she did a phenomenal job, don't you?!

CONGRATS to ALL our industrious 4-H youth! To say, as their 4-H QOV SPIN Club Leader I am soooo proud of each and EVERY one of them, would be a huge understatement.  It has been so wonderful to watch them develop and grow, right along with their quilts - an experience I won't soon forget ;-)

Thank YOU,

4-H QOV Quilt Display goes well and results in fabric haul!

Right after our very first Clark County 4-H Quilts of Valor Special Viewing Event, we were invited to display our 4-H Quilts of Valor at our annual Clark/Crawford/Edgar 4-H Clothing Revue, which we gladly accepted, and it turned out really well.  Here are a few photos to share:

4-H SPIN Club Member, Anna w/her Quilt of Valor - what a gorgeous smile!
And our esteemed Phillip w/his QOV:

The rest of the quilts from the QOV exhibit:

UPDATE 7/21/2014:  These Clark County Quilts of Valor will be available for viewing during the Clark County 4-H Clothing/Dress Review - Tuesday, July 22, 2014 @ 6:30 pm (CST), at the Martinsville, IL Fairgrounds, Arts Hall exhibits.  Come on out, enjoy the QOV quilts, support our hard working 4-H youth, and indulge yourself w/one or even two of our 4-H Fair's famous Pork Burgers...See YOU There!

And just before we were leaving, what a neat surprise - our 4-H Program Director, Cartha G. handed us two over-flowing bags of brand-new red and blue fabrics:

Bags of brand-new fabrics donated to our 4-H QOV SPIN Club - Thank YOU, Cartha!

And won't they work wonderfully well with some of our Valor fabrics that just arrived:
Valor fabrics just arrived - already 'had' to cut into the luscious gold...yummy!

AND if that wasn't enough - a generous 'anonymous donor' gave us $40.00 to put towards our 4-H Quilts of Valor backing budget...Thank YOU!

Alrighty then - time to get busy ;-)
